Youth Olympic Village Legacy Sculpture

The Wind & Wings by award-winning sculptor Yeo Chee Kiong was the Legacy Sculpture commissioned by the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) to commemorate its role as the official Youth Olympic Games Village 2010. At a height of 6.6m, the stainless steel sculpture featured a butterfly, buoyed by rain and wind, to rest on the apex of a grass blade – suggesting the Olympic values of Excellence, Respect and Friendship.  The sculpture was installed in Aug 2010.
