Singapore Contemporary Art Exhibition in Suzhou

The Realm in the Mirror, the Vision out of Image - Singapore Contemporary Art Exhibition

This 3-month long exhibition is the opening event for the 2013 Singapore Cultural Week held in the Suzhou Culture and Arts Centre to celebrate the 19th anniversary of the establishment of the China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park. The selection features 15 veteran artists, Cultural Medallion recipients and contemporary artists who have forged strong practices in painting, sculpture, performance art and mixed media works.

One of the largest ever exhibition of Singapore contemporary artists in China, the participating artists include 4 Cultural Medallion winners, 2 President’s Young Talents recipients, 1 National Arts Council Young Artist Award recipients, and 2 artists who have represented Singapore in the prestigious Venice Biennale.  The exhibition is presented by the Suzhou Jinji Lake Art Museum helmed by Director Zhu Qiang, and curated by Feng Boyi and Lu Xin with advisory provided by Chua Soo Bin and art consultancy & project management by Silver Rue Art Consulting.
